His multiple patents were centered around media, telecom, and payments.

Alongside his educational background, Kheradpir primarily worked in the field of business and technology. He has held multiple careers during his 28-year time span as an executive across the telecom, technology and financial services industry. His career started off at GTE corporation, followed by a job in Verizon as the CEO and Executive Vice President (EVP). Before working in Coriant, he was an Operating Partner at Marlin Equity Partners. His job involved making strategic and technological investments.
