The Contributions of Sujit Choudhry to Constitutional Law

Sujit Choudhry is the founder of the Center for Constitutional Transitions. The Center was founded to help in coming up with constitutions that meet international standards and address the changes in various countries. The organization comprises of constitutional law and other legal experts. It also partners with NGOs and multilateral organizations among other stakeholders. Sujit says that many countries need advice when amending and coming up with new constitutions. He has the required experience having already worked with several countries.

Although Sujit is an immigrant, he has managed to be successful in his career. He says that his law degrees from different countries remain a great boost for his success. His expertise on public policy has also been a great contributor to his career. Sujit explains that since democracies have the same experiences, they should learn from each other. Mr. Choudhry has done a lot of research on issues that affect various countries. This way, he can come up with constitutions that address those issues. He has vast experience and knowledge of constitutional law. He has many publications including reports, articles, and working papers. Sujit Choudhry studied law at the University of Toronto, Harvard University, and Oxford University College.

Some countries that have benefited from Sujit Choudhry’s expertise include Ukraine, Egypt, South Africa, Nepal, and Libya.
