In a focus group he was asked to join in Ukraine in 2017, Sujit Choudhry discussed the issues within the country’s political system that has caused it to become unstable over the years. He recommended that the current leaders in the country strengthen their governing abilities by collecting and discussing options based on policy in order to push constitutional reform there. He has also written and talked about the problems that exist in Poland’s Law and Justice Party, which is a right-wing political group that won the legislative majority in that country’s elections in 2015 (chronicleweek.com). This party is seen as being a threat to Poland’s constitutional democracy, due to the fact that they try to eliminate obstacles that would keep them from being in ruling positions in future elections.
In addition to being a legal adviser in his home country of India, as well other countries such as Libya, Egypt, Sri Lanka and South Africa, Sujit Choudhry is also the author of several books on the subject of constitutional law, and he has had many of his articles, papers and reports published.
